The way it changes your relationship with your body
Little by little we start to shift from seeing what we consider imperfections in the mirror to appreciating the beauty and strength all of our bodies hold. We even get to redefine what things like beauty and strength mean to us, burn all the narratives we've been told our whole lives about how we "should" or "shouldn't" be, and find absolute joy in our bodies just for ourselves-even our jiggliest bits.
We might start focusing on "wow, it's pretty cool my body did ______ for me today" instead of worrying we didn't do enough.
We start becoming absolutely mesmerized watching ourselves sway and wiggle and undulate and sometimes it all feels so good we get lost in ourselves and stop thinking about how we look while we're dancing at all.
It's like our bodies are a whole universe waiting to be explored.
This doesn't mean we don't have struggle days still, we are human after all, but on those days where you are feeling like an unstoppable bad bitch, load up that camera roll in case you need the reminder some day.
