Do I need to be strong and/or flexible to start pole?
Absolutely not! You come to pole class you get stronger and more flexible as you progress. Nobody begins pole dancing because they're already great pole dancers. Come try a class, you'll be amazed at what your body can do. Pole is a marathon not a sprint-that's one of the things that's so great about it!
What do I need to bring to my first class?
Wear comfortable athletic clothing (tank tops, leggings, etc) and bring a pair of shorts to provide skin contact with your legs and the pole. If you're coming to an intro class or private party you're welcome to wear leggings or pants that can be pulled up to the knee. We have a water cooler at the studio so bring a water bottle. We have mats and everything else you'll need, Please refrain from using lotions or oils on your skin prior to class
Do I need to wear heels?
Nope! They're optional with the exception of a heels based class. If you need heels it will say so in the class description. While we're on the subject-there is absolutely no rush to begin wearing heels.
Am I too old, out of shape, heavy, etc to pole?
No no no no no no no no no. One of the most beautiful things about pole is the diversity of people who pole. You can go online and find pole dancers of all shapes, sizes, genders, and ages.
Do your poles have a weight limit?
They don't! They have been professionally installed and have held 3-5 average sized people at once. They're secure.
